Never-heard Legend of Ganesh Chaturthi 2024: Unearth the Tale of Ganpati and Lord Vishnu
As per Indian mythology, once in an event, Lord Vishnu’s marriage is fixed with Goddess Lakshmi. All the gods, goddesses, sages, and deities begin the preparation for the wedding.
Wedding invitations were sent to all prestigious beings in the three realms.
However, Vinayak (Ganesh Chaturthi 2024) did not receive the invitation due to some reason.
How Did the Wedding Procession of Lord Vishnu Begin?
Gods and goddesses were ready with their charismatic auras, wearing divine attire and jewelry, and holding individual symbols.
The wedding ceremony was all about to begin, but before that, the gods were keen to see if someone was absent. They discovered that Lalbaugcha Raja was not in the venue at Vaikuntha.
Why Was Lord Ganesha Missing from Lord Vishnu’s Wedding Procession?
All deities began to murmur the reason behind the absence of Lord Ganesha, as he is the Vighnaharta and needs to be worshiped first to make any auspicious event successful.
They all thought that Lord Vishnu would be able to answer it.
What is the Reason Behind Not Inviting Ganesha by Lord Vishnu?
God wanted to know why Vinayaka was missing from the venue.
Lord Vishnu gently said, “We have invited Lord Shiva.
If Ganesha wished to come, he would have come with Mahadev. When the father is invited, then there is no need to ask the kids separately.”
After narrating the reason behind the absence of Ganesha, Lord Vishnu said another reason for his reason.
Ganesha likes food a lot, and he consumes 1.25 pounds of mung beans alone. On top of it, he eats 1.25 pounds of rice, 1.25 maunds of shudh ghee, and laddus for the entire day.
If he desires not to come, then there is no problem. Does eating so much food in someone else’s home seem good?
Lord Vishnu, the sustainer of the universe, was lightly joking about his own sister’s son and the absence of Ganesh.
Seeing Lord Vishnu himself in a mood of joke, other gods also joke about Ganapati.
Ganesha must have come to the venue. He must be a good gatekeeper here.
If he sits on his mouse and comes for the procession, don’t you think he would have left behind?
Everyone at the venue liked the lighthearted joke on Ganesha, and Lord Vishnu agreed.
What Happened When Lord Ganesha Heard Gods Insulting Him and What Narada Suggested?
Lalbaugcha Raja was present when the gods were joking about his food consumption, slow movements, and the mouse he had as vahana.
Ganesha didn’t say anything. Lord Vishnu is his uncle. He does not wish to ruin his happiness. On the other hand, Ganesha was convinced to stay behind and guard the house.
Why Did Sage Narada Make Lord Ganesha Realize What He Could Do?
Lord Vishnu begins his wedding procession, leaving little Vinayaka alone to check on the Vaikuntha. Sage Narada saw the sad little Ganpati and asked the reason.
Little Ganpati told everything to Sage Narada.
Ganesha then said Uncle Vishnu insulted me. Gods also gathered and said Mooshak and I were slow. Due to our slowness, the Baraati would not reach on time, and Shubh Mahurata would be gone.
“Oh ho,” said Narada.
“I thought instead of making a sad face, you would do something,” Narada said mischievously.
Who Dug a Dig and Made the Vehicle Sink of the Baraati?
Little Ganesha admired Sage Narada and his idea. He soon sent his mouse army to catch the gods and the Baraati.
A dutiful and playful mouse army reached before the Baraatis and began to dig the path.
After completing their duty, they waited to see if the work was fine and polished. Then the mouse went back to inform Ganesha, their friend.
The wedding procession reached the place without knowing what was about to happen.
Why Did the Vishnu’s Wedding Chariot Stuck in the Mud?
They were happy and enjoying the procession of Lord Vishnu and waiting for the divine union of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi.
Suddenly, wheels dug in the mud. One by one, the gods tried their best to bring out the wheels, but nothing worked.
Instead, more vehicles dug into the mud. No gods and anyone had an idea what to do. They began to worry about the Shubham Mahurata.
What Suggestion Did Sage Narada Give to the Gods?
Sage Narag witnessed the downfall, and sadness spread across all the divine and beautiful faces of gods and goddesses.
Then he said to gods and goddesses, “You shouldn’t have insulted Ganesha. If he would have been here, this might not have happened.”
Everyone began to feel they didn’t do right. They should not have insulted Ganesha and made him stay back at home.
Sage Narada understood the situation and suggested bringing Ganesha so that Shubhta could come.
Gods requested Mahadev to call Ganesha to come so the wedding procession could reach the venue on time.
If this did not happen, Goddess Lakshmi would worry.
What Made Lord Vinayaka the God of Auspiciousness? | Ganesh Chaturthi 2024
Seeing the situation and what would happen if Ganesha did not come, Lord Shiva sent Nandi to bring him.
Ganesha reached the place where his mouse army did a great job of making gods realize what they did.
Gods and Lord Vishnu worshiped little miscellaneous Ganesha with respect and honor.
After that, the wheels of chariots came out easily.
But the wheels broke, and no one knew how to repair them.
Ganesha knew that Khati, a vehicle repairer, was working there. He called him for the job.
Khati reached.
He first worshiped Vinayaka, the Vighnaharta, or the obstacle remover, chanting his name.
“Shri Ganeshaya Namah.”
Khati repaired all the vehicles in a blink.
After finishing his task, Khati beautifully said, “O gods, you must have not worshiped Lord Vighnaharta, the remover of all obstacles. If you did, then this problem must not have come.”.
He saw the gods again and said, We humans are fooling and ignorant, but still we worship Lord Ganesha.
How could you gods forget and meditate on Lord Ganesha first?
Khati said, “Now chant Jai Shri Ganesh Ji,” and all your problems would vanish in a second.
Gods repeated after Khati, and the wedding procession began happily.
The wedding of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi was completed without any problem, and everyone returned to their respective homes safely.
